Our Peace Building efforts have seen us have significant interventions in Bamenda I, II and II as well Menchum. BIHAPH through her PEACE AND DIALOGUE COMMITTEE was instrumental in the resolving of the deadly farmers/grazer conflict in Ketcha, Menchum Division, North West Region of Cameroon.
Through our interventions, life has returned to Ketcha after over 12 months of bloodshed to the extent that the land became inhabitable. After spearheading the reconciliation process, we donated farm seeds and tools to the local women in the area to help them come out of destitution.BIHAPH delivers emergency aid to vulnerable persons affected by conflict, wars, social injustices and negative cultural practices.
A community based approach.
BIHAPH Champions the cause for building peace at community, local and grassroots levels especially in hard to go zones. In the ongoing armed conflict BIHAPH and her team has stood as pillars to mainstream economic empowerment as a tool to build sustainable peace in poor rural communities mindful of the fact that poverty in these communities is the main driver of conflict.
According to the CEO of BIHNDUMLEM Association of Peace and Hope (BIHAPH) Mih Bibiana Mbei Dighambong and her team dream of a Cameroon that fosters social cohesion, interpersonal harmony, nonviolence for a peaceful and Just society. A society free of all forms of abuse that leads to hatred, division, violence and killings.
