This is the story of HOPE. We believe in HOPE! We believe in LOVE!
Hope Josephine, a native of Aghem /Wum born in Ngoh village Wum is 8years old and lives with her grand-mother, a poor farmer. She was born a normal child and brought extreme joy to her family as every new born would.
Unfortunately for Hope and her family, she fell ill which turns out to be a gloomy situation. The diagnosis about her illness and growing abnormalities has never been clarified even after several visits to the hospital and traditional doctors.
Bihndumlem Humanitarian Association is based in Wum. In respect of one of our slogan, Saving Lives, we pay visits to the extreme poor families in surrounding villages. On April 4th, 2016 during our customary tour in the Ngoh community, we came in contact with Hope who was in severe pain. Hope had virtually lost all the beauties she was created with. Her grandma, her only source of support could only afford for herbs and what she can get from her farm to take care of her grand-daughter.
We, at Bihndumlem saw it as another opportunity to restore missing virtues such as comfort, hope, faith, and love in this family and Hope’s grand-mother in particular by implementing humanitarian action. We took upon our shoulders the spiritual, medical and long run well-being of little Hope. In need to help Hope gain physical stability we rushed her to Wum district hospital and came up with a nutrition plan which includes special kind of food such as soya beans, beef liver, etc. Below is how we embarked on our journey of restoration with Hope.
She was diagnosed with severe malnutrition, dehydration and anemia. Blood transfusion was done and she vomited a fat, long hairy worm. She needs more support to live the life of every normal child at her age. We are so confident that Hope will get on her feet one day soon, attend school, become a voice in our community and society, and make a beautiful family.
To fully rehabilitate Hope, she needs a decent home, special food, clothing, provision for her underprivileged care giver, and constant medical attention. The estimated budget is 2.000.000frs. Your financial, material, spiritual support to help give Hope sustainability will be much appreciated.
