I am student of G.H.S Wum after spending three years at home due to hardship, poverty, acute suffering, loss and unwanted pregnancy. My story is very pathetic one and I thank God for BIHAPH and all the donors through global giving who came to my rescue and brought me relief.
Three years ago I became pregnant and the father of the child could not help because he was also a student. I became pregnant when I was in Upper sixth. My parent rejected me and called me a disgrace to the family. In addition to my pain, I lost my beloved mother when I was four months pregnant. My mother was the main bread winner and a source of strength to the family. She died living behind a one day old child whom I also had to care for with my pregnancy. With the loss of my mother, there was increased poverty, hardship, misery and frustration.
In the midst of these crisis and tribulation I lost my kid sister who was already nine months old. My father and the whole family were devastated. My father could not even sponsor my junior ones. I was forced to drop out of school. In my lamentation and desperation, I attended a meeting in BIHAPH Office. My story changed. BIHAPH has brought joy and hope to me and my family. I am back to school thanks to BIHAPH and the global giving team. I thank BIHAPH and all those who donated to enable me and my friends go back to school and gain back our lives. BIHAPH will live long and to continue to give meaning to those at the edge in our community and our world at large.
GOD BLESS
