Girls’ rights are human rights. Yet, millions of girls continue to struggle to claim their rights. Girls are disproportionatelydisadvantaged in education, health, work and family life – particularly in the world’s poorest countries. When factors like poverty, ethnicity or disability intersect and where gender stereotyping and unequal power relations prevail, girls’ disadvantage is magnified.
It is in line with the above that BIHAPH engages in humanitarian assistance to poor vulnerable children and women in rural communities particularly the mbororo community. A community that attaches too much on cultural practices at the detriment of children's and women's right.
Here, many children are deprived of education and health facilities. Women are marginalised, discriminated, faced gender inequalities and gender based violence. Many of the women faced ehar economic hard ship and illiteracy is very high. BIHAPH bridges this gap by offering programs and sensitisation the promotion of women and children's right for sustainable development.
