About us
BIN-HELP is a Canadian community-based charitable organization committed to supporting newcomers to Canada who have been affected by war, trauma, and displacement. Rooted in lived experience, we work to ease the challenges of resettlement by providing compassionate, practical support that promotes dignity, stability, and inclusion.
Our work focuses on relieving poverty among vulnerable newcomers particularly women, children, and youth by providing access to food, clothing, and other basic necessities of life as they transition and rebuild their lives in Canada.
BIN-HELP also promotes the mental and emotional health of individuals impacted by conflict and displacement through trauma-informed, culturally responsive support services. Through our Healing Journeys: Trauma Recovery and Mental Wellness Support for War-Affected Newcomers program, we offer counseling, peer support, and community-based healing initiatives that foster resilience, well-being, and social connection.
By addressing both immediate needs and longer-term emotional recovery, BIN-HELP supports newcomers in building healthy, stable lives and actively participating in their communities BIN-HELP supports newcomers in building stability, improving health outcomes, and participating fully in Canadian society.
Founded by survivors for survivors, BIN-HELP focuses on trauma healing, post-conflict recovery, and community empowerment. From individual counseling to youth leadership programs and family resilience initiatives, our interventions are grounded in empathy, trust, and deep local knowledge.
We believe that true recovery begins not just with aid—but with connection, compassion, and a shared commitment to peace.
